   8 Copy the [`adapta.xml`](/adapta.xml) file to the color schemes directory:
   9 `~/.local/share/gedit/styles` or `~/.local/share/gtksourceview-3.0/styles`

  12   1. Open the Preferences in Gedit
  13   2. Switch to the "Font & Colors" tab
  14   3. Select `Adapta Gedit` from the "Color Scheme" list
